Who we are looking for:
We are looking to appoint a Wellbeing and Pastoral Practitioner; this role will provide pastoral support to the student cohort, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Wellbeing and Safeguarding to ensure our students' welfare is at the centre of day-to-day life at the School. The Wellbeing and Pastoral Practitioner will be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working alongside the Head of Wellbeing and Safeguarding to support our student’s mental wellbeing. This role supports student needs beyond their academic achievements by providing separate and impartial pastoral support and upholding best safeguarding practices at all levels of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Good interpersonal skills and experience of working in the education sector and with young people.
- Experience of handling confidential issues with tact and discretion
- Experience in dealing with student safeguarding issues.
- Excellent at developing professional and trusted relationships with young people and families from a range of different backgrounds.
- Experience of working to support the wellbeing of students.
- An ability to work as a member of a team, manage workload and assist in problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Good knowledge of Windows PC systems and Microsoft Office programs

Courses and Widening Participation Manager

Courses and Widening Participation Manager
Salary:
£30,000 - £35,000 per year, dependent on experience
Job type:
Permanent contract, full time (40 hours per week)
Location:
English National Ballet School, Hortensia Road, London SW10 0QS
Deadline:
12noon Monday 8 July. Interviews will be held on Thursday 11, Friday 12 July.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking to appoint a Courses and Widening Participation Manager to work closely with the Directors to manage the day-to-day administration and delivery of the Associates, Short Courses and Community programmes and develop the reach and influence of programmes further in line with the Schools Strategic and Artistic Vision. The Courses and Widening Participation Manager will play a key role in developing community programmes rooted in the principles of ballet, which expand reach and inspire a love of dance.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience of working with children and young people in a creative capacity
- Experience of programming courses and community classes
- Experience of working in the Charitable Sector or Education Sector
- Knowledge or experience of Dance as a discipline.
- Experience of budget management and meeting financial targets
- Previous experience of working with administrative systems
- Leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent administrative and record keeping ability.
- The ability and willingness to solve problems alone or as part of a team.
