ENBS works to ensure that every talented young dancer reaches their full potential, perfecting technique, artistry, employability, and longevity.
English National Ballet School’s full time Senior School students are spread over three year groups. An average of 35 hours’ contact teaching time per week allows our staff to focus on the individual student.
The School is situated in the heart of Chelsea, London, and is well served by TFL London Underground transport and bus services, with nearby accommodation provided by recommended hostels and with host families. Being situated in London offers students easy access to world renowned cultural sites. Organised cultural visits are arranged as part of the academic curriculum and students are encouraged to visit these independently.
Many of the students who join ENBS are living away from home or abroad for the first time. We understand it is essential that students feel comfortable and secure in their living accommodation. We pride ourselves on having staff members who are open, approachable and always on hand to offer a range of help with course, financial issues, accommodation and practical concerns.
For over 35 years ENBS has played a leading role in nurturing, training and developing the next generation of dancers who go on to secure contracts at some of the most prestigious ballet companies worldwide. In recent years these have included English National Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet, Scottish Ballet, Atlanta Ballet ll, Bayerisches Staatsballett Munich, Cape Town City Ballet, Czech National Ballet, Dutch National Ballet Junior Company, Finnish National Ballet Junior Company, Joffrey Ballet Studio Company, National Ballet of Portugal, National Ballet of Romania, New English Ballet Theatre, Sarasota Ballet and Tulsa Ballet to name a few.
